Clasp Weights




Clasps defined as "Light" weight can only bear the most minimal pressure. Light clasps are good for cloaks made of silk, chiffon, organza, taffeta or as a decorative element with a stronger fastener underneath.

Medium weight clasp are good for flannel, cotton twill, lightweight fleece, wool garbardine

Heavy weight clasps are good heavy fleece, wool melton, coat weights. Some of the very heavy weight clasps can also be used as belt ends.
